A Dental Implant's Components
Dental implants are comprised of medical-grade titanium and resemble cylinders or screws. They can be used to replace one or more lost teeth.

Dental implants are made up of three main parts that make it easy to insert them:
The fixture is the first part of a dental implant. It is inserted into the patient's jaw bone and serves as the implant's artificial root.
The abutment comes next. It's positioned directly above the fixture, at the same level as the gums. The crown or denture is protected and supported by the abutment.
The dental prosthesis is the last and most visible portion of a dental implant.

They aid in the restoration of oral functionality
One of the most important reasons to have dental implants is that they allow you to chew your food regularly because they work similarly to natural teeth. This way, you'll be able to eat your favorite foods again, improve your digestion, and absorb more nutrients from your food.
Dental implants are comfortable and can last a lifetime if properly cared for. If you want dental implants, you should stop smoking at least a week before the procedure.
